2019 CPS District Payroll Calendar
Below this calendar, you can find a projected version of the 2020 calendar year payroll calendar, since CPS hasn’t released the official 2020 calendar, yet.
Also, note that paycheck dates are visible on the CTU events calendar and also on our Google Calendar (www.ctulocal1.org/gcal), which can be added to your own calendar to follow CTU postings. These calendars have been updated to reflect changes to the payroll schedule due to the strike.
In sum, the November 8, 2019 check will be 30% gross pay, the November 22, 2019 check will be 60% gross pay, and the December 6, 2019 paycheck will be the first with full pay since the strike. The December 6 check would have been 90% gross pay, but is 100% due to the Wednesday, November 27 makeup day. In addition, the January 17, 2020 check will be 70% of gross pay—though it ordinarily would have been only 50% of gross pay—due to the makeup days on January 2 and 3, 2020. There will also be two more makeup days at the end of the year, causing the July 3, 2020 paycheck to be a full one where it would ordinarily have been 90% and providing an extra 10% gross pay check on July 17, 2020 for all 208-day employees. All other paychecks between January 31, 2020 and July 3, 2020 are anticipated to be 100% of gross pay, assuming no school closures for emergency or snow days.
At the moment, we don’t know exactly when CPS will provide retroactive paychecks for the 3% raises effective July 1, 2019. Union staff will inform members as soon as we hear they’re ready.
