We have a tentative agreement and will return to schools on Friday, Nov. 1. The final issue—our return-to-work terms—was resolved as we reached an agreement today with the mayor and Chicago Public Schools to make up five days of student instruction.

This agreement means that last night’s vote to suspend the strike goes into effect tomorrow as students and educators return to schools. Our tentative agreement will be reviewed by members, and a vote on ratification by the entire membership will be held within ten (10) days in accordance with the CTU Constitution and By-laws.

The most up-to-date edit of the tentative agreement is available for all members to download from our MemberLink Portal.
