Rank-and-file members of the CTU-ACTS charter division are rallying next Tuesday, May 17, to win the staffing, raises and resources that their schools need! This follows last Friday’s kickoff of their unified contract campaign — or what one member called “the boss’ worst nightmare” — with a sticker day at charter schools throughout the city.
It is critical to have a huge turnout on the 17th to put pressure on CPS and all charter administrators to win crucial contract demands for increased staffing and wraparound services, the proper use of federal COVID-19 recovery funds available to the district, and to stop charter operators from hoarding our tax dollars by underpaying CTU members at charters — equal pay for equal work!
Please join us next Tuesday! We’ll be gathering at CPS HQ, 42 W. Madison at 4:30 p.m. Busses and carpooling are available. Email organizing@ctulocal1.org for more information.
