As of today, our action is on as voted on by Chicago Teachers Union membership last weekend.
Chicago Teachers Union members have voted to authorize all rank-and-file educators in Chicago Public Schools to conduct remote work only, starting tomorrow, Jan. 25, 2021.
The district is straight up lying to our people in hopes of intimidating them out of exercising their rights. This is the same divide and conquer tactic it tried when forcing members back into buildings in late August.
CPS and the mayor may want to pretend this is a normal school year, but it’s not.
