General CTU Announcement
Message from the CTU Legislative Department:
Last session was a historically rough session and the anti-educator, anti-public education forces are lining up their own lobbyists to attack us this session.
But times of chaos are also times of tremendous opportunity. Every educator and CTU member must get involved if we are to protect our careers and the communities we serve from this corporate onslaught. We should each look up and contact our elected officials and be sure that they know that we as educators are going to wield a voice in the political process from here on out. They should directly ask our state and local officials to hold CPS accountable and make sure the “Educators Jobs Bill” money makes it to the classroom.
