At its September 27, 2023 meeting the CTU House of Delegates voted unanimously to make the following endorsements for the March 19, 2024 General Primary Election.

The Chicago Teachers Union issued this statement after West Side Democratic committeepersons selected State Representative Lakesia Collins to replace 5th District State Sen. Patricia Van Pelt, who resigned in late July.
The Chicago Teachers Union proudly announces its early endorsements for the 2022 election season for the candidates listed here. These endorsements were made after thorough screening by the CTU’s Political Action and Legislative committees, approval by the CTU’s Executive Board, and final ratification by the CTU House of Delegates.
At its February 5, 2020 meeting, the CTU House of Delegates voted to make two new endorsements for a total of 19 endorsements in the March 17, 2020 election.
The CTU House of Delegates voted at its January 8, 2020 House of Delegates meeting to make 10 endorsements for the March 17, 2020 election in addition to the seven endorsements it made at its December meeting.
The House of Delegates voted to confirm these recommended endorsements at its December 4, 2019 meeting. More endorsements may be made at a later date.
