Today’s vote demonstrates a nearly decade-long fight for an elected, representative school board, anchored in the work and collaboration of the grassroots education movement and the Chicago Teachers Union.
Chicago voters have reiterated their tremendous desire for change in this city, strengthening a movement for educational, social, racial and economic justice that will not rest until that justice comes.
