To build the schools Chicago’s students deserve, we need to bring together leaders from the political, civic and business communities to ensure that our district’s schools have all they need for success. Sign our petition inviting stakeholders in our education system to help us solve the problems facing Chicago students. All Chicago will win when the greatest city in the world has the greatest school district in the world.

You have shared with our city your desire to tackle problems that confront our students: homelessness, lack of culturally and linguistically appropriate curriculum, lack of sports and extracurricular programs, libraries without librarians, large class sizes, and lack of essential support personnel like special education teachers, classroom assistants, school nurses, social workers and counselors.

These tremendous challenges are only matched by the potential we see in every one of our children, from Riverdale to Rogers Park, Little Village to Lakeview. We’re glad you’re eager to solve these problems. We’re excited for this opportunity to find and fund solutions that will produce the schools Chicago students deserve.

We urge you to work with the Chicago Teachers Union and other key stakeholders on this essential endeavor. Together, we can ensure that the greatest city in the world has the greatest schools in the world.
