It is essential that every school and citywide functional group have a delegate at this critical time, as we continue to negotiate work conditions during the pandemic.
The CTU Executive Board approved supplemental procedures for conducting remote delegate elections to fill vacancies when elections cannot be held in person. Members at schools or in functional groups that have appointed delegates may also request a remote delegate election.
Requesting a Remote Delegate Election
To request a remote delegate election members must contact firstname.lastname@example.org for information on current delegate vacancies or appointed delegates in their citywide functional group or school. In your correspondence, you must include your name, the name of your school or citywide functional group, your request for a remote delegate election and your contact information.
Note: The new three-year delegate term begins February 1, 2021. To be seated at the February 6, 2021 House of Delegates meeting, all delegate positions (elected and appointed) must go through the election process which will begin on December 1, 2020.
