You are warmly invited to New Member December, a winter holiday gathering for all first- and second-year hires at all CPS and charter schools.
There will be food, drink, and the opportunity to safely gather with co-workers, to make new friends, and to meet the CTU staff.
Who should come: If you’ve already joined the CTU, great! This will be the perfect opportunity to meet some of your union siblings in a more informal setting. If you still have questions about joining, this will be a great place to ask them. And if you know first- and second-year teachers who are wrestling with the decision, please encourage them to attend.
This will be the first in-person event we’ve organized for new members since the pandemic began. Proof of vaccination or proof of negative test within 48 hours will be required for entry.
