Chicago Teachers Union is Boricua and proud! Join teachers, PSRPs, clinicians and parents who stand together for our schools. CTU members of all backgrounds will gather as one group and march to show pride in our Puerto Rican students and educators. We’ll also be standing in solidarity with Puerto Ricans who are facing a Broke on Purpose government whose attacks on schools and other services parallel the struggle in Chicago.
We will meet in front of Clemente High School at noon. The parade steps off at 2 p.m. at the corner of Division and Western. From there, we will march to Division and Sacramento.
There is limited parking, so public transportation is encouraged.
